Community Music School
The Rapides Symphony Community Music School is to serve students of all ages, interests and diverse backgrounds by providing excellence in music education.
We believe that every person has musical abilities that can be developed and that music has an enriching effect on people’s lives. We also want to contribute to the larger cultural community by providing artistic and educational programs for the entire central Louisiana community.
Our class offerings for the Fall session are:
Music Together
Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music program that started in 1987. Music Together classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical and can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate in confidence in the music of our culture by emphasizing actual musical experiences rather than concepts about music. The program brings families together by providing a rich musical environment in the classroom and by facilitating family participation in spontaneous musical activity within the context of daily life. One parent/guardian will need to attend each class.
